Students Who Want to Improve their Athletic and/or Academic Performance
Now more than ever, students are under pressure to be at the top of their game both in academics and athletics. The competition is fierce, as everyone is competing for top spot in order to get into the right college and to make the team. This competition can create anxiety that actually is detrimental for the students.
By teaching students the basics of hypnosis, I can give them the tools that they need to manage their anxiety and improve their performance.
Change is easiest to achieve at a young age, before years of negative responses turn into lifelong patterns. Empowering kids is what we do – teaching them to have power over how they feel in stressful situations has the potential to change everything. An empowered child can change the world!
We are part of a team – this team includes parents, siblings, caregivers, medical health professionals, teachers, and coaches – and, of course your child! However, the most powerful changes come from within – our job is to create fun ways to inspire kids to find their own solutions.
Teachers and Educators who want to manage personal stress
The competition in schools also affects teachers and educators. When so much is riding on nationalized test scores, and individual school scores, teachers can experience high levels of stress – and this gets translated down to the students, increasing their stress levels.
If teachers can manage their stress levels and then be in a position to assist students with their test anxiety, everybody wins!
ADHD/High Functioning Autistic/Asperger’s
In recent months I have had the privilege to work with several young people with Asperger’s and with high functioning Autism. They have responded extremely well, and I have grateful parents calling me to find out how they can do more for their children.
Young People and Adults with High Anxiety and/or Health issues
The right kind of anxiety can be useful. For example, walking alone in the dark to your car can bring about anxiety that heightens your senses and makes you more aware of your surroundings, thus making you safer.
However, too much anxiety can be detrimental to your health, and experiencing health issues can also bring about too much stress.
Everyone knows how it feels when stress is building = you get the ‘antsy’ feeling when your body is going into the highest ‘fright or flight’ level of anxiety. This can escalate into a change in your breathing and your mind begins to race – and before you know it, you are experiencing a full blown anxiety attack.
While it is happening, it feels like it cannot be controlled. However, you can stop it – with techniques learned while in hypnosis.
We help you learn how to ‘take control’ of this seemingly runaway train by using the power of your subconscious. It’s easier than you think and we make it fun!
